The International Volkov Festival is founded in 2000 in Yaroslavl, the birthcity of Russian professional theatre. It is held by Russian State Academic Drama Theatre Named After Fyodor Volkov (the Volkov Theatre).

It bears the name of the father of Russian theatre Fyodor Volkov. The Festival's current concept is to show Russian dramaturgy being transformed by different interpretations and in different languages, and to offer to the provincial spectators all the contemporary trends & tendences in performing arts.

 

*All of performances except one are showed at the venues of the Volkov Theatre.
